Please join me for a special and joyful event with Jocelyn Stevenson as we celebrate the publication of her new book, The Waterubas: Book 2.

Best known for her work on beloved children’s television such as Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street, Jocelyn brings the same depth of imagination and heart into her writing. With the release of The Waterubas: Book 2, she completes a beautiful and meaningful series.

In this one-hour conversation, Jocelyn and I will explore the three central spiritual themes woven through the story, and reflect on why storytelling is such a powerful way to communicate what cannot easily be explained—both in children’s literature and in fiction for adults.

The themes we will explore include:

  • Surrender and Flow
The Waterubas are not beings in water; they are beings of water. Because of this, they embody the qualities of surrender and flow. They do not live from a separate will that can oppose the current. Instead, they learn to exist as an inseparable part of their environment. Their way of being offers a profound teaching on how we might live in alignment with the flow of spirit.
  • Oneness and Unity
The Waterubas are made of the same element of the world they inhabit. Nothing separates them from their surroundings. In this, they mirror a deeper truth about our own nature. While we experience ourselves as separate, at a deeper level we are not separate from life; we are expressions of it.
  • Love and Connection
In The Waterubas: Book 2, the practice of “Heart Zapping” is introduced. By filling their hearts with love and tenderness, the characters learn to consciously direct that love outward. The story beautifully illustrates the transformative power of love and reminds us of our capacity to connect and uplift one another.

I hope you will join me for this special gathering and meet Jocelyn Stevenson. She is truly one of the most extraordinary people I know.

Sincerely,
