Bonita Winer
Bonita (who usually goes by Bonnie) grew up in Chicago fascinated with the natural world and the mystery of Being. She carried those curiosities into her work as an early childhood educator, a family therapist, a filmmaker, and a college professor focused on cinematic editing and storytelling. She is committed to and loves working with young people, with their open availability, encouraging them to remain fascinated! She looks for the healing power, poetic awareness, and paradigm shifting potential of stories; and how, through them, we can nurture wonder, awe, and care for the planet, ourselves, and each other. She has studied and worked in Bloomington, Indiana, Boston, Los Angeles, and Chicago, and travels when and where she can, usually building such trips around a workshop or retreat. Being in nature is where she feels most alive.
