While I’ve always been a doodler, and come from a family that includes professional artists, I didn’t feel the inspiration (read: obsession) to become an “art maker” until I retired last year. What I found, or what found me, is called the Zentangle Method, a relaxing and creative way to combine dots, lines, simple curves, and orbs to make pen and paper art pieces. Zentangle art is non-representational and unplanned so you can focus on each stroke and not worry about the result. The motto is “no mistakes”. There is no need for an eraser. It’s for everyone, regardless of ability.
Zentangle Inspired Art, which is what I'd call the pieces I'm sharing, combines Zentangle concepts with freedom of expression in the piece. It’s an active and creative form of the practice of no problem offering me the opportunity to relax into presence and invite creative intuitive energy to flow through my being. It’s a pleasure to share my art with you today.
