It was a pleasure to speak with Christopher J. Miller about his understanding of what it means to be a spiritual artist. Chris is an artist, author, teacher, and produces The Spiritual Artist Podcast where he shares stories of enlightenment and growth in conversations with today’s spiritual artists and thought leaders. It became quickly clear to me that Chris and I hold very similar views about art, creativity and the fundamental nature of reality

Art for Healing and Self-Expression
I have had the pleasure of knowing Lady Didyasarin Taveldiku long enough to have followed at least part of her healing journey. Knowing the role that art had played in that journey, I felt compelled to speak with her and find out how she sees that journey today. As we spoke her honesty, vulnerability and authenticity began to shine through her story.
Living into the Dream: The Awakened Consciousness and Transformational Art of Alex and Allyson Grey
CoSM, Allyson and Alex Grey’s art sanctuary, tucked away in the Catskill Mountains near Wappingers Falls, NY, serves as a multidimensional refuge in space and time that represents and transports the visitor to an inner dimension that feels entirely unlimited by space and time. The intention of its founders is to catalyze the experience of a consciousness connected with all that exists. Their work, and the various forms of creation that emanate from their art, open a portal to the future.

Within Art We Hear Our Soul-Self Speak
Around twelve years ago I was called to embark on a sacred journey using plant medicines. In preparation for this journey the Shaman requested that I sit quietly and allow my higher self to guide the creation of a piece of art in the form of a mandala that would represent my soul’s intention for my trip. Traditionally a mandala is a spiritual symbol representing the Universe. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas are employed to focus attention as spiritual guidance tools.
The Flow of Creation and Ascending
These two digital creations are a direct representation of the spiritual visions, experiences, and ‘sensings’ that reveal themselves during my meditation practices, emergent dialogue sessions, and other ways of communing.
Opening
This piece was done spontaneously, without preconceptions or planning or agenda, hence when we have little time, it allows the piece to come from a place deeper than the mind. It’s also similar to automatic writing in this regard.

Skull Dance
This piece represents Samsara, the cyclical nature of birth, death and rebirth. Certainly it is influenced also by our Mexican celebration of ‘Dia de Muertos’ here in the South West on November 1st. Like the day of the death, I felt like celebrating the idea of many life times in a kind of dance, or evolution of consciousness of the soul. Whatever you perceive let it speak to your heart and feelings.
Exuberance
I am an artist and have actively painted for more than 50 years. Looking back it is clear that the full body of my work is a pictorial journal of my life that has been completely guided spiritually. It is a record of awakenings. Reflecting on this right now is filling me with such gratitude, a sense of humility and Love. These words can not convey the experience of this moment, but perhaps the next painting will.
Tunnel
For me, spirituality is the recognition that the sacred and the mundane are one, and is an embodied experiencing of presence. Presence with what is, presence with timelessness, presence through the senses, presence with beauty or awe, presence with the unknown, presence with one’s perspective, presence with the inclusivity of everything, everyone, and all that is experience.
